Al-Jinnan University organized a seminar entitled: "Earthquake activity on the borders of the Arabian Tin and the Cracked Building" in the presence of the Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees Dr. Salem Fathi Taeen and the two academic, educational and student bodies at Al-Jananan University and High School.

He added: "We have to generalize the culture of the concept of public safety and work between the state and civil society in Tripoli and the north to address the situation of the cracked building in a city where civilizations accumulate through its buildings and streets and the cultural richness it contains to prevent any accident that may lead to the boredom of innocent lives."

نظّمت جامعة الجنان ندوة بعنوان: "النشاط الزلزاليّ على حدود الصفيحة العربيّة والأبنية المتصدّعة" وذلك بحضور رئيس مجلس أمناء الجامعة د."سالم فتحي يكن" والهيئتين الأكاديميّة والتعليميّة والطلابيّة في جامعة وثانوية الجنان

بدايةً، استهلت الندوة بالوقوف دقيقة الصمت لروح ضحايا الزلزال

ثم قدّمت المُتخصّصة في العلوم الجغرافيّة د."أمان الشبيب"، شرحاً لأبرز الأسباب المؤدّية للزلازل، إضافةً لدرجات شدّتها وما ينتج عنها من خراب ودمار

كما تحدّثت بشكل مفصّل عن النظريّات العلميّة من الصفائح والحركات التكتونيّة منها نظريّة الإنجراف القاريّ التي بُنيت على أساسها نظريّة الصفائح ومنها انطلقت إلى الصفيحة العربيّة المتواجد فيها لبنان الذي تعرض قديماً إلى زلزال عنيف نتج عنه فالق اليمّونة بالاضافة إلى شرح عن جيولوجيّة لبنان التي تُظهر تصدعاته وطبقاته الصخريّة لمعرفة بُنيتها ومكوناتها

من جهته، عضو مجلس نقابة المهندسين ورئيس فرع المهندسين المدنيّين د. "صفوان الشهال" تطرّق إلى أبرز التقنيّات الحديثة المُتبعة في تصميم الأبنية للوقاية من تأثير الزلازل ومقاومتها مع عرض لأنواعها والاحتياطات المفترض اتخاذها هندسياً في هذا المجال

أضاف: "علينا أن نُعمّم ثقافة مفهوم السلامة العامة والعمل بين الدولة والمجتمع المدني في طرابلس والشمال لمعالجة أوضاع الأبنية المتصدعة في مدينة تتراكم فيها الحضارات عبر مبانيها وحاراتها وما تحتويه من غنى ثقافيّ لمنع أي حادث قد يودي الى زهق أرواح أبرياء"

في الختام قدم أمين سرّ أكاديميّة الطوارئ والإغاثة أ."محمد الزعبي" عدداً من الإرشادات العامة الوقائيّة في حال حدوث الزلازل
